Today I'm going to share some tips on how to call multiple JavaScript functions in a single click event.
Call Multiple JavaScript Functions in a Single click Event#
The first thing you'll need is a function which will contain the code necessary for executing all other functions when it's called upon. To do this, create an empty main function like so:
<script>
function mainFunction() {
// Code goes here
}
</script>
Once you have your main function set up, add each of your other individual functions inside of it using the following syntax:
<script>
function mainFunction() {
childFunction1();
childFunction2();
}
</script>
Now all you need to do is attach an onclick event listener with our newly created main handler as its callback parameter - like so:
<button type="button" onclick="mainFunction()"> Click Me </button>
When clicked by a user, this button will now execute every single one of our individual JavaScript functions at once!
