I am trying to build a reader base on my Blogger site without relying completely on Google search algorithms or expensive email marketing tools. I read the guide on Best Web Push Notifications for Blogger and saw that there is a dedicated Push tool right inside the Blogger 3schools workspace.
I created a free account on Webpushr, but I want to make sure I understand the workflow:
- Where do I find the API Key and Auth Token to connect Webpushr to the workspace tool?
- When I tap a post card on the push tool, does it automatically pull the high-resolution image and article link?
- Can we send notifications for Google Web Stories as well as normal blog posts?
Would love to hear how you guys set this up and what kind of click-through rates (CTR) you are seeing on your sites!

How do I send instant Web Push Notifications to subscribers on Blogger without paying OneSignal?
1• Log into your Webpushr dashboard.
2• On the left menu, click Integration & then REST API Keys.
3• You will see two values: your REST API Key and your Authentication Token.
4• Open the Blogger 3schools dashboard, click Push Notifications from the sidebar menu, click the top-right Gear icon (Settings), paste both keys, and click Save Account.
The tool saves your keys securely inside your browser database.
From that point on, whenever you publish a new article, simply open the Push tool. All your recent blog posts show up as visual cards. Tap any card and it auto-fills the Title, Snippet, URL, and high-res image banner instantly. Just hit Launch and the alert goes out to all your subscribers!
In the top bar of the Push tool, look next to the search bar. You will see a toggle switch with two options: Posts and Pages.
Since MakeStory saves your Web Stories as standalone Blogger Pages, just click on Pages. The grid will refresh to show all your published Web Stories. Tap any story card, add your headline, and send it out.
Click the dropdown inside the compose modal and tap + Add Button. You can add up to 2 action buttons directly on the phone notification (for example: "Read Post" and "Check Price").
Also, to monitor your results, click the History icon in the top bar. You can click Check Stats on any past campaign to see total Sent, Delivered, Clicked, and real-time CTR percentage.
