I switched from Blogger's default editor to the 3schools Post Editor yesterday, and the block-based writing experience is ten times smoother. But while exploring the settings and Copilot, I ran into two questions:
1. People in the forum keep mentioning two secret labels: NEWS and NOTOC. Do they do something special behind the scenes, or are they just regular blog tags?
2. Inside the Copilot assistant window, there is a Pen icon on top that flips the chat into a black Drawing Pad. Has anyone actually used this? Can the AI really understand sketches drawn with a finger or mouse, or is it just a basic scratchpad?
Would love to know how you guys are using these features in your daily workflow!

How do the NEWS and NOTOC labels work in the Post Editor, and can Copilot actually read drawings from the whiteboard?
1.The NEWS Label: If you add NEWS as a label to any post, the template automatically injects complete NewsArticle Schema markup into the page header instead of standard BlogPosting markup. This signals to Google that your content is time-sensitive news, giving you a much higher chance to show up in Google News carousels.
2.The NOTOC Label: By default, the template generates an automatic Table of Contents at the top of any post with 3 or more headings. If you are writing a short post or a quick announcement and you don't want that Table of Contents box taking up screen space, just add NOTOC in your labels. The template sees the tag and removes the table of contents completely.
When you draw on that black canvas and click Attach Drawing to AI, the editor converts your sketch into a lightweight image and feeds it directly into Gemini's multimodal vision model.
Here is how I use it all the time:
• I sketch a rough 3-column table with a quick row line, attach it, and type in chat: "Turn this wireframe into an Editor.js comparison table with pros and cons."
• Five seconds later, Copilot returns an actual interactive table block that I can insert into my article with one click.
