Your theme is not corrupted. This is actually a feature called Blogger Auto-Pagination. Basically, Blogger has a 1MB size limit for the home page. If your posts are very long or have too many heavy images, Blogger automatically cuts off the list to make the page load faster. It doesn't matter if you set it to 10 or 20 in settings; if the 3rd post makes the page "heavy," it will stop there.

Thanks for explaining Amit. I do write very long tutorials with lots of screenshots. But how can I bypass this? I really want at least 6 posts on my home page so it looks full. Should I compress my images?

Compressing images helps, but the main "jugaad" is to stop loading the full post content on the home page. Most older or poorly coded themes use data:post.body in the home page loop. This loads every single word and image of your post, which consumes that 1MB limit very fast.

The best solution is to use the snippet operator in your XML. You need to find data:post.body in your theme's HTML and replace it with a snippet code. This only loads a few characters of text and one thumbnail, making your page super light. Use this code:

This will force Blogger to show only 200 characters, and you will easily see 7 to 10 posts on your home page.

If you use the snippet operator or data:post.snippet, Blogger will always strip the HTML tags to keep the site safe and fast. If you want to keep the styling (like bold text or colors) but still want to fix the pagination issue, you must use the Jump Break feature

When you put a Jump Break after the first paragraph of your post, Blogger only sends that small part to the home page. Everything below the  tag is hidden from the home page. I am confused between all these different snippet tags in the XML. My theme has data:post.snippet, data:post.longSnippet, and sometimes I see people using the snippet operator. Which one is best for SEO and speed?

It depends on your design needs. Here is a simple breakdown for you:
1. snippet Operator: This is the best because it gives you "Precise Control." You can set exact length (like 150 or 500) and choose to remove links or linebreaks. It is very fast.
2. data:post.snippet:This is the standard Blogger tag. It gives a quick summary but you cannot change its length easily.

Standard short snippet (140 characters):
